Transcript: Dr. John Sine

Description: Dr. John Sine, second President of CCCC, recalls the students in the early years.

You know they were in many ways the tablet rosa. You could write on them. You could write in their minds.

They were for the most part kind, generous, eager. That’s a first impression as a student body, and that has not changed a great deal. That’s the thing, hopefully, that is the heartbeat of the county, and what I remember from that was the heartbeat that reflected the county.

Edited from the original interview on October 10, 1980. Original interview available as part of the Southern Maryland Studies Center Oral History Collection.
