La Plata Campus Parking
Parking rules and regulations were formulated to ensure that parking is available to members of the college community, emergency vehicles (such as fire equipment and ambulances), and to enable the physically handicapped to have clear access to all buildings on campus at all times. Parking is permitted only in marked parking spaces within designated parking areas.
Vehicle Registration
Students, faculty and staff must register their vehicles with the college. Register vehicles at the Information Center/Express Counter in the
AD Building. Students must register vehicles during course regiatration periods. All vehicles must be registered no later than two weeks after classes begin each semester.
Visitors and Event Attendees
Visitors and event attendees are permitted to park in designated areas. (See parking lot information below.) There is no fee to park on campus. Visitors and event attendees do not need to register vehicles, unless otherwise directed. Please obey all parking rules, event signage, and campus safety officers. Vehicles may not be left overnight.
Parking Violations
Parking violation notices will be issued by campus safety officers. Parking citations will be issued by the county Sheriff's Department. Persons receiving citations will be required to pay fines and/or appear in court. Only those vehicles displaying a handicapped license plate or permit from the MVA are authorized to park in the designated handicapped parking spaces .

Parking Lots
- Lot 1:
- Located near the Administration Building (AD) on the east side of the campus and utilized by students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Lot 2:
- Located near the Campus Center (CC) on the north side of the campus utilized by students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Lot 3:
- Located near the Francis P. Chiaramonte, M.D. Center for Science and Technology (ST) on the west side of the campus utilized by students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Lot 4:
- Located near the Fine Arts Center (FA) & Learning Resource Center (LR) on the south side of the campus utilized by students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Lot 5:
- Located east of the Physical Education Center (PE) utilized by students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Lot 6:
- Located west of the Campus Center (CC) utilized by students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Lot 7:
- Located north of the James C. Mitchell Center for Health Technology (HT) utilized by students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Lot 8:
- Located east of the Fine Arts Center (FA) utilized by students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Lot 9:
- Located west of the Physical Education Center (PE) reserved for handicapped individuals and all vehicles must have valid handicapped permits from the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) displayed at all times. No other type of parking permit is valid for parking in Lot 9. This is permitted by Maryland Motor Vehicle Law.
- Lot 10:
- Located west of the Maryland Center for Environmental Training (MCET or MT) utilized by students, faculty, staff, visitors, and MCET.
