General Information

Take your first step to become a student at the College of Southern Maryland!

An actual visit to campus is the best way to get to know the College of Southern Maryland and discover the campus community.  To assist you with developing your career and college plans and to show you our campus and facilities, CSM offers several information options for students:

General Information Sessions:  College Information Sessions are held regularly throughout the year and provide prospective students with information about the college's credit and continuing education programs, financial assistance, how to transfer to a bachelor's degree program, and how to get started at CSM.

Homeschool Information:  Learn how you can attend CSM as a full-time or part-time student, while earning your high school diploma or equivalent.  Additional college information will be presented.

Returning Adults Program and Project Transition:  CSM recognizes that adults entering college often have special needs and concerns.  The Returning Adults Program and Project Transition offer a network of structured re-entry support.

Students over 25 years of age who are returning to the classroom, or transitioning to college are eligible for these programs:  academic advisement during the first semester, registration assistance, special workshops during the college information sessions and a three-credit College Success Skills course focusing on the concerns of adult students.  How can we help you get started?  Contact 301-934-7765, or send an email to askme@csmd.edu.

Kick-Off to College:  Have a winning academic season and Kick-Off the new semester with an afternoon of fun, learning and preparation for college.  Learn how to Develop that game plan for success
