Orientations
Why Come to Orientation?
After you apply and take your placement tests, the next step is to register for classes.
By coming to an orientation, we can help you develop a career and college plan, help you choose your classes, and show you how to use Online Services, our online registration and records program.
Also, you'll have access to CSM academic advisors and other people to ask questions and assist you with your educational goals.
Individualized service is part of what makes community college so special... this is where it begins. Let us help you start on the right path.
Types of Orientation Sessions
1.Online Orientation allows you to get a head start on orientation as this option is available 24 hours a day. Just enter your name, email address and your student I.D. number found on your acceptance letter. Once you have successfully completed the orientation, passed the quiz at the end, you will be able to register on-line within three (3) working days.

2. Student Orientation and Registration: SOAR is your chance to come to campus of your choice to register for classes with an advisor and learn about services available for CSM students. SOAR Sessions are done in smaller groups than Super Saturday, and usually take less time. You will need to apply and take a placement test before coming to SOAR.
3. Super Saturday/Waldorf Wednesday: is an Orientation PLUS! Do it all on ONE DAY! Learn about services available at CSM, take the placement test, be admitted, register for classes, and tour the campus! Please call the campus of your choice to reserve your spot.
4. Concurrent and Dual Enrollment Orientation (C.O.D.E.) is designed for Special Admission students to complete the class registration for the upcoming semester and to learn about services available for CSM students.
