The Biotechnology degree is an Arts and Sciences degree offering at CSM. It differs in its distribution of electives and is created to offer students flexibility when transferring to any university or college. Students obtaining an Arts and Science degree can select a concentration in a variety of areas including the Biotechnology concentration for a seamless transfer to a four-year college or university.

The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) now has a new partnership with George Mason University that offers admission to CSM graduates who have earned specific associate’s degrees at CSM and who wish to transfer to pursue their bachelor's degrees. Admission requirements vary.
