Dr. Patrick AllenChair, Professor of Social Sciences, Human Services and Teacher Education Department
Dr. Allen has over 20-years experience in the education field. He also works as a psychologist in private practice. In addition, Dr. Allen has taught courses in the area of English composition and literature. He is also a poet with a strong interest in African American poetry and literature.
He is a member of the National Association of Black Psychologists, The National Association of School Psychologists and The Maryland Psychological Association.
Dr. Patrick Allen earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati, an M.A.T. in English from Harvard University and an Ed.D. in school psychology from the University of Cincinnati. He is a Maryland licensed psychologist.
