Join the boom in the home purchase and refinancing by
training to become a mortgage loan officer. This
course is intended for those who are entering or seeking to
advance in the mortgage lending field. The focus is on
loan origination, processing, underwriting, and closing.
Mortgage marketing will also be explored. Calculator

Upon
completion of this
course, students should be able to:
1. Describe the roles of Fannie Mae, Freddie
Mac, banks, Wall Street and private investors in mortgage
lending.
2. List
the different types of lenders.
3.
Demonstrate
an understanding of the responsibilities of a loan officer.
4. Describe
federal regulations and lean programs affecting mortgage
lending.
5. Demonstrate
an understanding of the duties of a loan processor.
6. Explain the elements of risk analysis, such
as property appraisal, borrows ability, borrowers
willingness, etc.
7.
Recognize
the activities involved in the closing process.
