Procedures for Obtaining Transcripts and
Enrollment Verifications
There is no fee for processing transcripts or enrollment verifications.
They
are processed within one week except during peak request times.
During peak request times (May, August, December, and January), we require 2 weeks from
date of receipt for
processing time.
Transcripts
Students may obtain a transcript one of several ways:

Unofficial transcripts can be obtained by using
Online Services.

Students may visit any campus and request their transcript. By presenting a
picture ID, students may wait and pick up their transcript. Please note that additional time will
be required for processing transcripts for students who have credits prior to 1983 (up to 6 weeks).
Students may obtain transcripts from the following locations during normal
business hours:
- La Plata campus, AD Building
Information Center, Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00
a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Prince Frederick campus, Room 101, Monday - Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 7:00
p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Leonardtown campus, Building A - Room 109, Monday - Thursday 10 a.m. -
7:30 p.m. during fall and spring semesters, Monday thru Thursday 10 a.m. - 7
p.m. during the summer and between semesters, and always Fridays 9:00 a.m. -
4:30 p.m.
- Waldorf Center for Higher Education - Suite 1020, Monday - Friday 9:00
a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Students may also request by mail or fax. Fill out Transcript Request form or send a letter with the following
items:
1. Name (and any former names used)
2. Current mailing address
3. A contact phone number in case of questions
4. Student ID number (or social security number if not known)
5. Last semester attended (extrememly important for students with records prior to 1983)
6. Number of transcripts requested
7. The address(es) to send the transcript(s)
8. Your signature (will not be processed without this)

Verifications
Students may obtain an Enrollment Verification one of several ways:

You may send the request by mail or fax if you are unable to come in. Fill out a Verification Request Form or
write a letter and include the following items:

3. Information to be verified (including semester)
4. A contact phone number in case of questions
5. Student ID number (or social security number if not known)
6. The address(es) to send the verification(s)
7. Your signature (will not be processed without this)
*An Enrollment Verification is a letter produced on official
college letterhead that indicates that the student is enrolled in classes. Each
semester a new letter is generated. The letter also indicates whether the
student is enrolled part-time or full-time. If you have specific forms that need
to be completed, you must include those with your request (i.e. a form from your
insurance company).

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I want my transcript?
Students may need a transcript for various reasons. Some common reasons are:
· Transferring to another school
· Employment verification
· Joining the military
· Insurance verification
What is an official transcript?
An official transcript is a record of all courses taken with the college and a record of grades received for those courses.
Each Official Transcript is presented in a sealed envelope and marked that it will be Unofficial if Opened.
Who can obtain my transcript?
Students may request their own transcript or that their transcript be sent to a third party. Student transcripts will not be released to a third party without the written consent of the student.
