Telecourse/Teleweb
Distance Learning at the College of Southern Maryland
Telecourses are instructor-facilitated, integrated college learning experiences consisting of a set of videotapes or DVDs/CDs, textbooks and study guides.
TeleWeb courses integrate telecourse delivery (videotapes, DVDs, or CDs) with dynamic online activities. To access the online portion of your course, your User Name is the same user name you use when logging in to the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) Online Express Services. Initially, your Password is your seven-digit student identification (Student ID) number. Once you've logged in, you will be directed to change the password. If you have taken a CSM WebCT course previously, use the password you created.
Note: Students may be required to take proctored exams or on-campus assessments at a testing center.

The Distance Learning Student Guide provides you with both general and specific information on distance learning, including “Tips for Success.”
Tutorials and a Student Demo Course in Blackboard (WebCT) Campus Edition 8 are available online. Students can test out new features/tools and see what it is like to be in an online course.
Participants with disabilities who believe that they may need accommodations in online learning courses are encouraged to contact the Disability Support Services in the Student Success Center at 301-934-7614 as soon as possible to better ensure that such accommodations are implemented in a timely fashion.
Textbook Information
All online course textbooks are available for purchase from the CSM College Store, La Plata Campus. Contact the CSM College Store nearest you to have the books transferred to the Leonardtown or Prince Frederick Campus store (allow up to three days for transfers) or use CSM College Store Online to place your order and have the books delivered to your doorstep.
