To help prepare students to be successful in web-based courses, College of Southern Maryland offers online orientations. These orientations consist of tutorials and a demo course.

The tutorials will provide step-by-step instructions needed to use many of the tools and features you’ll find in a web-based course. A demo course  has been created for you to experience what it’s like to be in a web-based course.

Other Tutorials
  • Blackboard (WebCT CE6) uses the Java Runtime Environment for certain key features. But like many Java-based programs, certain versions of Java work better with Blackboard than others. Visit Java Setup Tutorial web site to avoid Java-related problems that may affect your ability to use the Blackboard system.
