Institutional Equity and Diversity

Welcome to the College of Southern Maryland. The Institutional Equity and Diversity Office works to create an inclusive environment where students, staff, and faculty can perform at their optimal best. We are creating an environment that instills an appreciation and understanding of the diverse qualities each of us brings to this campus; where our students, staff, and faculty mirror the community we serve and is free from discrimination and harassment.

The Institutional Equity and Diversity Office sponsors Cultural cafés, provides academic enrichment and celebrate diversity awareness through programs for Asian, Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, African American Heritage and Women History Month, as well as other cultural celebrations. A list of planned activities can be found on the Institutional Equity and Diversity website under events.

The website list reference sources on a wide variety of multicultural topics. Faculty may use this site to select information to include in class discussion or curriculum. Students may find an area of interest for self study, class work or personal enrichment.

We hope you visit the website of stop by the Institutional Equity and Diversity office to learn more about our programs. We are located in the CC building, 2nd floor in room 208.
