CSM CHOIRS

CSM currently has two choirs under the direction of John W. Maerhofer; The Concert Choir and The Chamber Singers.

The Chamber Singers will be touring the Finger Lakes region of New York State this spring.  Their trip will kick-off with a concert in Phelps, NY at the United Church of Phelps.  Next they will move onto Clifton Springs, NY where they will perform in the Historic St. John's Episcopal Church and The Foster Chapel at the Spa Apartments.  The tour will then take them to the Norton Chapel at Keuka College, the Finger Lakes Community College, and the First Presbyterian Church in Oneida.  The tour will finish in Canandaigua, NY at St. John's Episcopal Church.

The CSM Choirs have gained a great deal of professional recognition over their ten years of existence.  The Chamber Singers completed a ten day east coast tour in March 2006 and then embarked on a very successful 16 day European tour of Germany and Austria in July of 2006.  The Concert Choir produced their second choral DVD in December 2006 with a memorable performance of Handel's "Messiah" at historic Christ Church in Chestertown, MD.  The Chamber Singers released their latest CD "We Celebrate Song" in the Spring of 2007.  In celebration of CSM's 50th Anniversary, the CSM Choirs released " The Best of CSM Choirs" 2-CD set in the January of 2008.

The choirs are under the direction of their founder Professor  John W. Maerhofer, Music Director and Conductor, with Voni Craig, Jimmie Bise, Jr., and Andrew Dias, III as Assistant Directors.
