What is the annual fund?
The Annual Fund is an essential component of the college’s operating budget. Investing in the College of Southern Maryland through the Foundation is an investment in the community. Gifts to the annual fund support the education of thousands of talented and dedicated CSM students. Contributions to the annual fund keep CSM within financial reach of students and their families. In addition, it will transform the life of a student by providing lifelong learning opportunities to meet the educational, employment and enrichment needs of our community. The CSM annual fund sustains the day-to-day campus operation, student life, technology, academic and so much more.
Why is it important to give now?
During these difficult economic times a strong annual fund will lessen the impact of the current economic situation on the life of the college and our students. Keeping a CSM education affordable is more of a priority today than ever before. Your participation in the annual fund ensures CSM’s solid financial future and inspires the confidence to invest in CSM from outside financial institutions. Therefore, with your help our students will continue to receive the resources and education that makes a CSM education stellar.
How much should I give?
Participation is the key to the success of the Annual Fund! You determine the size and designation of your gift according to your own interests and your personal willingness to give. 100% of your gift goes directly to your fund of choice. When everyone gives a little, CSM gains a lot, therefore; no gift is too small.
Can I make an anonymous gift?
If you wish to keep your gift entirely anonymous, you can indicate so on the pledge form.
How do I give to the Annual Fund?
Your gift will shape the future of the college by supporting students and programs. Whether large or small, your gift is greatly appreciated and has a positive impact on the college!

What are the giving levels?
The Full Circle Program is CSM’s Foundation way to recognize its donors’ cumulative lifetime giving to the college. This program recognizes those donors who assist the Foundation in fulfilling its mission of providing support to strengthen and develop the college and its objectives.
Each contribution you make during your lifetime to the college qualifies you to move up through the benefit levels. At the end of each year, a statement will be mailed for tax purposes detailing your collective donations for the year as well your level of giving in the Full Circle Program. We recognize the donations you give through the CSM Foundation as a true commitment to the college and the community it serves.
