The library's resources include reference and reserve books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, computer databases, a course reserves collection, and Internet access.
Reference Collection: The library's reference collection contains approximately 2,000 books as well as some CD-ROM databases. Included is a growing collection of law materials including the Annotated Code of Maryland, the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) and the U.S. Code. All reference materials are for use in the library only.
Periodicals: The library's periodicals collection includes approximately 3,000 periodicals in a combination of print, database, and microfilm formats. Periodicals do not circulate outside of the library.
Audio-Visual Materials: The library's audio-visual collection includes videotapes and CD-ROMs. These items circulate only to instructors but may be used in the library by others.
Computer Resources: The library has computer workstations which offer access to the Internet, Microsoft Office programs, and CSM course software. From these computers, customers can access periodical databases and other resources.
Student ID cards are available at the Circulation Desk. ID cards are issued for all students currently enrolled in classes at CSM. A valid photo ID such as a driver's license, military ID, or passport is required to obtain a CSM ID card. Student ID cards have a photo and the CSM student ID number. The first card is free, but there is a fee for replacement cards. Please contact the campus library for more information.
