ITS 7020 Preparation for Network + Certification

Prerequisite: ITS8080
National Exam: CompTIA Network+
Receive instruction in the basic areas covered by the national exam to award certification in Network+. Study Standards and OSI model, Protocols, Media and Architecture, Hardware, LANs and remote connectivity, various Network Operating Systems, TCP/IP, Troubleshooting, Maintaining and Upgrading, Ensuring Integrity and Availability, Security, and Design and Implementation. The Network+ certificate is a company-neutral industry-wide recognition of networking knowledge. It is a logical first step into networking or for pursuing MCSE certification. This course is instructor-led with lands-on lab exercises. Knowledge of PCs and the Internet required. This course is combined with credit course Its-2800. Textbook required.

ITS 7690 XP Professional

Prerequisite: ITS7020
National Exam: 70-270
Learn to install, configure, and administer Windows XP Professional. The purpose of this course is to prepare students to take the Windows XP Professional Microsoft Certification exam.

ITS 7610 Server 2003

ITS 7620 Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Manage a Network Infrastructure
Gain the knowledge and skills to implement, manage, and maintain a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 network infrastructure.

Gain knowledge and skills to successfully plan, implement, and troubleshoot a MS Windows Server 2003 Active Directory service infrastructure. Focus on a Windows Server 2003 directory service environment, including forest and domain structure, Domain Name System (DNS), site topology and replication, organizational unit structure and delegation of administration, Group Policy, and user, group, and computer account strategies.
