The College of Southern Maryland celebrated the inauguration of Bradley M. Gottfried, Ph.D. as the college's fourth president with a number of events from May 2-6, 2007 at each of the campuses.

The inaugural celebration events for CSM's fourth president, Bradley M. Gottfried, kicked off at the Leonardtown Campus where Genealogist and Author Agnes Kane Callum presented a Southern Maryland Perspective on the Civil War.

An inaugural toast was offered in recognition of CSM's fourth president, Dr. Bradley M. Gottfried, during the Ward Virts Master Concert Series at the Prince Frederick Campus May 6.

The CSM Concert Choir and Chamber Singers performed for the Ward Virts Master Concert Series at the Prince Frederick Campus as part of the inaugural events in celebration of Dr. Bradley M. Gottfried. The program included an eight-part choral of Mendelssohn and 14-part works of Eric Whitacre.

Andrew Dias III, a music theory student at the College of Southern Maryland, conducted the world premier of his original piece, "Ave Verum Corpus," in honor CSM's President Dr. Bradley M. Gottfried during inaugural festivities. The CSM Chamber Singers performed Dias' piece during the Ward Virts Master Concert Series at the Prince Frederick Campus May 6.
