To be eligible for induction into the Society as a member, you first must be formally invited by your college, or you must complete a nomination form and have it approved by the appropriate university official on campus. Invitations are sent out prior to the fall semester.
Participating members must complete the following requirements prior to becoming inducted to CSM's chapter:
Attend the orientation and Leadership Training Day
Attend three Success Networking Team (SNT) meetings
Submit three S.M.A.R.T. goals for approval (must attend SNT meeting to do this)
Attend or watch three speakers from the NSLS speaker series.
The NSLS also offers an online chapter as an option for students who might not be geographically close to campus or prefer a more flexible option.
