Tutoring Services

The Student Success Center provides tutoring at all of our campuses, including the Waldorf Center, free of charge. Tutoring is offered in a variety of subjects including English, Math, and Biology. In addition to face-to-face tutoring, Online Tutoring Services in the areas of Math, writing, ESL, accounting, economics, and chemistry are available in cooperation with Smarthinking. ThinkingStorm, an additional Online Tutoring Service, offers math, chemistry, and an online writing center. The tutoring on campus is walk-in, no appointment necessary. Check the schedule often for most current tutor availability.

Summer 2013 - On campus and online tutoring access will be available starting Monday, May 20, 2013. NOTE: No campus based tutoring on May 27th (Memorial Day) and July 4th (Independence Day) due to campus closures.

Interested in Becoming a Tutor?

Are you a student with strong skills in math or writing and seeking to earn some extra money? The Student Success Center is always interested in hearing from students who are willing to work with others towards being a student success.

Students interested in joining the tutoring team should provide:

• Evidence of a GPA 3.0 or higher
• Have an A or B in the subject/course you desire to tutor
• Provide two letters of recommendation from faculty
• Apply online at: http://www.csmd.edu/Employment
  • select "Temporary hire" and then "tutors/supplemental instructors"
