Charles "Rick" R. Bailey Jr.

In March 2000, the Maryland Senate voted unanimously to appoint Charles "Rick" Bailey to the CSM Board of Trustees and he began his term the following July. Bailey filled one of four new seats added to the board when the college transitioned to CSM.

Bailey holds a law degree from The George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University, where he graduated with honors.

At Marrick Properties, Inc., a residential construction and development company located in Dunkirk, Bailey is senior vice president, general counsel, director and part owner.

Bailey's civic memberships are broad. He is the director of Calvert Bank and Trust Company and a member on the Calvert County Water Resources Board. He has received governor's appointments to a number of task forces including the Maryland Office of Planning and Department of Environment Task Force.
