How to Register for a Co-Op

 

To begin: Complete the Co-Op Intake Form

 

Each subject area has a unique registration process. To learn how to register for co-op, go to the Information for Specific Subject Areas section and select your area of study.

 

IMPORTANT

You will not be able to register for co-op until you have contacted an academic advisor.

It is recommended that you contact an advisor at least two months prior to the start of the semester in which you plan to co-op. The time is needed to find an employer, and identify a project or outline your objectives. If you already have employment arrangements, you will be able to complete the registration steps more quickly.

If you plan to take other classes in the same semester as a co-op, do not wait to register for those classes. Sections in other courses may close or fill quickly, so it is best to register for those classes early, then add the co-op course later after all needed steps have been taken.
