Communication involves a set of complex skills. To communicate effectively, a sender must transmit messages that are clear, well organized, are aimed at the needs and interests of the receiver and believable. This training helps supervisors to see communication as a two-way process, and to construct clear, concise messages in the interest of the receiver. Topics include making use of non-verbal factors to reinforce the intent of your messages, and using feedback as a primary tool in overcoming barriers to communication. Textbook required.
