Description:
Supervision 101 is designed to prepare supervisors for the unique responsibilities that arise when they make the transition into a leadership position. Participants will overview the role of the supervisor and will examine specifically those management skills that will help them in directing others to accomplish work goals. By addressing the management functions and skills of planning, organizing, directing, controlling, communication and decision-making, the workshop will focus on critical competencies: Ability to communicate, deal with groups, individuals, and ability to lead others. Textbook required.
