Introduction to Oceanography


Course: BIO-1200
Course Credits: 3
Prerequisites: RDG-0800


Description:

Students examine the origin and history of the ocean basins and physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of the ocean from the intertidal zone to the abyss, and from the tropics to the poles. Marine life, resources, and pollution are studied. Optional field trips have variable costs.
