Description:
Students are introduced to the field of early childhood education, learning theories, classroom management, program and environmental planning, and curriculum development. The course will concentrate on the needs of the infant through the eight year old child. This course combined with EDU-1013 meets the Maryland requirement for senior staff in licensed child care facilities. Basic language skills are presumed, used, and evaluated.
