Description:

Geometric Tolerancing Fundamentals is an introduction to acquiring a working knowledge in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). It is delivered per the ASME Y14.5M, 1994 standard. Geometric tolerancing is covered from the perspective of engineering, manufacturing and quality control. This course includes emphasis on all basics, such as rules, measurement theory, the datum reference frame, form orientation, profile and positional tolerancing. Extensive discussion will cover the use of the datum reference frame and the application of the feature and datum MMC, LMC and FRS modifiers. Wood/plastic models will be used to simulate parts, gauges and inspection equipment. Textbook required.
