Description:
Participants will identify the characteristics that separate technical from exposition including style, format, graphics, audience, purpose and subject matter. The goal will be to acquire the skills to prepare technical documents that reflect awareness of the principles of effective technical writing: clarity. consistency, sense of audience and purpose. Participants will also learn grammar and sentence structure to produce documents with improved readability. They will also develop and refine their editing skills as well as their ability to collaborate with other technical writers on a writing project.
