Phlebotomy Technician

Description:

This course prepares students to collect, prepare, and transport blood samples using proper techniques and procedures. Class and lab topics include safety, basic anatomy and physiology, infection control, patient preparation, and legal and ethical considerations associated with venipuncture in hospital or outpatient settings. Observations in blood-draw facilities acquaint students with different employment opportunities.
