American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

Description:

Healthcare providers and professionals whose jobs require CPR as a condition of employment are encouraged to attend. Relief of foreign body airway obstruction, rescue breathing, CPR for victims of all ages, and the use of the bag valve mask and automated external defibrillator (AED) will be practiced. The signs of stroke, heart attack, and the prevention of SIDS and childhood injuries will be discussed. Participants successfully completing a written exam and a skills demonstration will earn an AHA card that is current for two years. Textbook required.
