Description:
Certified Nursing Assistants and Geriatric Nursing Assistants will learn how to perform those advanced skills that can be delegated by the registered or licensed practical nurse. Skills include maintaining sterile fields, urinary catheter insertion, tube feeding, ostomy care, oral suctioning, and simple sterile dressing changes. Basic data gathering and reporting skills are practiced. This course is combined with credit course HTH-1850. Textbook required.
