Preparation for Network+ Certification

Prerequisites: ITS-1020


Description:

This course focuses on areas covered by the national exam to award certification in Network+. Skill development areas include: standards and OSI model, protocols, media and architechture, hardware, WANs and remote connectivity, various network operating systems, TCP/IP, troubleshooting, maintaining and upgrading, ensuring integrity and availability, security, and design and implementation. The Network+ certificate is a company-neutral, industry-wide recognition of networking knowledge. It is a logical next step from the A+ certification for entering directly into networking or for pursuing other certifications. This course is instructor led with hands-on lab exercises for individuals whose goal is to feel confident to take the Network+ certification exam.
