Online Course: Introduction to Dream- Weaver 4

Course: ITS-5270
Continuing Education Units: 2.40

Description:

Get familiar with the Dreamweaver interface itself and discuss the planning that's involved in creating a site before getting into specific Dreamweaver formatting tools. Learn about the three primary building blocks, text, images, and hyperlinks. Examine how to incorporate them into larger layout elements like tables, frames, and layers. Build user forms that allow visitors to exchange information. Explore Cascading Style Sheets, which provide greater control over the text and element placement, as well as Dreamweaver's HTML Styles which give us many of the same advantages, but aren't limited in the number of browsers which can accept them. Follow this with Behaviors and Animation, creating JavaScript effects without having to know JavaScript beforehand. Then discuss Dreamweaver's Assets and History panels which give the ability to reuse content we've created, as well as redo and undo any step we've taken in an open document. Lastly, get into the Site Management tools, learning how to deliver our site to the Web and maintain it after it's there. Requirements - Internet access, e-mail, Netscape or Explorer Web browser, and Dreamweaver Version 4.
