Description:
This course is intended to provide parents of Latin I students in Charles County Public Schools with an understanding of the course content of Latin I (as stipulated in the published curriculum of Charles County Public Schools) and to provide these parents with the ability to work with their children in the acquisition of skills required for Latin I. Parents will be able to offer support to their children by : cooperating in homework assignments; interpreting assessments during the various stages of Latin study; providing their children with review exercises as well as opportunities to accelerate students' progress. Parents will also be able to understand more fully, the Latin teacher's explanations concerning student difficulties. This course will be offered concurrently to students and their parents using the same materials and textbooks.
