Description:
Using problems drawn from a variety of fields, students learn concepts of elementary and intermediate algebra including linear equations, number operations, quadratic and logarithmic functions, set operations and geometry. Problem sessions provide students with extensive exposure to graphing calculators. This course is designed as a prerequisite for MTH-1100. Students planning to take math courses beyond MTH-1100 or physics courses should work through MTH-1000 and MTH-1080 as their albegra prerequisite. These credits may not be applied to an associate degree.
