Description:
Intended primarily for students with scientific or technical majors, MTH-1120, with MTH-1130, prepares students for the study of calculus. Topics include real and complex numbers, sets, intervals, algebraic, exponential and logarithmic functions, graphing and solving various types of equations. Some topics are supported by the use of computer software such as MAPLE. This course is offered as a traditional lecture course, as a computer software tutorial course, and as a web course.
