Description:
The course introduces the basic topics in discrete mathematics; logic, relations, number systems, combinatorics, sets, functions, counting, and mathematical induction. The anlaysis of algorithms, graph theory, trees, network models and automata are explored. Problem solving and proofing of mathematical concepts are emphasized. Discrete probability and computational geometry may also be introduced.
