Description:
Most nurses own a stethoscope; few receive expert instruction on how to use it. This course is based on anatomy and physiology and goes beyond simply providing examples of sounds to memorize. Come learn how the sounds are produced, what they mean and what nursing interventions are indicated. Through lecture and hands-on practice this intensive course will develop in its participants the confidence to do a thorough and accurate assessment of heart sounds, breath sounds and abdominal sounds.
