Description:

Dealing with Grief and Loss covers the four taks of mourning and the process of helping the mourner. It covers accepting the reality of the loss, experiencing the pain and other feelings of grief, getting used to the new situation, and developing new ties and bonds. Participants will discuss the ways and means of helping people with disabilities deal with grief and loss by creating social contacts, and providing an environment for expressing their feelings. Textbook required.
