Description:
Students learn how the theatre works by attending live productions of major plays. This course emphasizes the roles of the playwright, actor, director, and designer in the production process. Field trips to performances on campus and in the Washington metropolitan area are the basis for lecture and discussion. Attendance at and critical evaluation of performances are required. (Students must provide their own transportation to productions. Estimated ticket cost: $30-50.)
