Description:
This course prepares individuals interested in working in the health and fitness field by teaching skills to perform fitness tests, commonly known as fitness assessments. Testing protocols and procedures are taught for measuring the following areas: body composition, local muscular endurance, aerobic power, flexibility, and blood pressure. Participants learn to relate the human body's chronic and acute responses to exercise to testing results and effectively interpret and communicate them. CPR/First Aid training is included. Textbook required.
