UMCP will notify students by mail regarding their acceptance to MTAP.
MTAP students will have access to the advantages of the program, including MTAP advising and special invitations to UMCP Programs.
Once accepted, students are expected to meet regularly with their academic advisor and discuss courses taken at CSM and courses to be taken at UMCP.
When meeting with your advisor, be sure to identify yourself as an MTAP student and give the advisor an idea of what major or majors you might possibly be considering. Even if you are only considering a particular major, be sure to mention it. Your choice of major(s) will often determine what courses you should take. It is okay not to have a major in mind, but start thinking about possibilities.

It is also important to note that there are some majors at UMCP that are termed "Limited Enrollment Programs." UMCP Limited Enrollment Programs are competitive majors that control enrollment numbers to maintain program quality.
NOTE: Acceptance to MTAP is not acceptance to UMCP
Please note that acceptance to MTAP is not the same as acceptance to UMCP. Upon completion of MTAP, students must submit a transfer application to UMCP. As long as MTAP completion requirements are successfully met, students are guaranteed admission to UMCP. MTAP completion does not provide special consideration for UMCP Limited Enrollment Programs.
