Description:
Students completing this degree program will be prepared to seek entry-level positions as junior or paraprofessional accountants in business, industry, government, or public accounting firms. Students currently employed in the accounting field can expect to increase their potential for advancement in the field. Courses emphasize general knowledge from a number of disciplines as well as specialized accounting skills.
Students may transfer this degree to the University of Maryland, University College.Students desiring transfer to other four-year colleges should consider the business administration transfer degree. Discussions of this choice with a counselor are highly recommended. These discussions should begin very early in the student's program of study.Cooperative education is available in this program.
