Description:

This coursework will prepare students for employment as entry-level drafting technicians in positions requiring preparation of detailed technical drawings made with drawing instruments or by application of computer techniques.

The two required courses, DFT-1200 and DFT-1320, include the preparation of drawings using the techniques and principles of geometric projection, views, sections, and the use of the computer for mechanical design and drafting of two-dimensional drawings.

The maximum number of credits accepted in transfer from other institutions to this program is 6.
