Description:
Environmental management has emerged in recent years as a set of practices employed in both public and private sectors with the objectives to minimize environmental impacts and to support the mission of the individual organi- zation. While the specific solutions and strategies may vary widely, there is a well- defined set of underlying principles and methods of analysis that support their development. The letter of recognition in Environmental Management will be awarded to students completing a three-course sequence providing a background in environmental issues, environmental law, and a working knowledge of the state of the practice of environmental management as well as familiarity with emerging trends and concepts. The maximum number of credits accepted in trans- fer from other institutions to this program is 7.
