Online Chat Instructions
How to enter CSM’s Online Chat
- You must use Internet Explorer, Netscape or Firefox in order to enter the chat room. AOL users cannot access the chat room.
- The chat room requires Java. Please make sure you have installed Java or you can download it at www.java.com/en.
- If you experience a delay, you may have hit a “firewall.” Be patient and it may take a little longer for you to enter the chat room.
- After you have logged into the chat room and signed the guestbook, your user name will appear in the right hand column, this verifies that you have entered the chat room and you are ready to chat.
- To start chatting, type your question and press “enter” on your keyboard.
- For Mac users: A Mac is not fully compatible with java running programs, but it will work with the program. The safari browser is highly recommended for access.
- Please keep in mind that you will only be able to see the conversation from the point you log on.
- In order to exit the chat room, click “x” at the top of the chat screen and you are done.

- We would prefer you do not use abbreviations or Instant Messenger language. We would like to completely answer your question about CSM.
- Spelling or punctuation mistakes are okay.
- Be respectful of other participants’ questions; the moderators will fully answer each and every participant’s question.
- Please be conscientious of other chat members and topics being discussed.
- You are welcome to read the chat and are not obligated to comment or ask questions.
