Hi my name’s Gene
Bowles. I graduated from Great Mills High School in 2004. I play for
the College of Southern Maryland baseball team. I am an infielder and
in the bullpen occasionally. During this 2006 season I will be your guide
with the Hawks baseball team. I will give you the inside scope on
what’s going on in the world of “Hawks Baseball”. |
March 6, 2006
It’s been a while since I’ve written a journal entry, but
in my absence we have been on the losing side of the board in every game but the
second game of the doubleheader against Potomac State, which we tied 4-4 (due to
darkness). The team has hit some road bumps with a rough start to the 2006
baseball season. The teams we have faced are top teams in their respective
divisions and on paper we were supposed to lose to them, which we did. I just
wish we would have come out from the start and jumped on top early. In my eyes
the Potomac State game was going to be a turning point after we rallied to tie
the game, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. We have good talent and each
player comes from a rich background of baseball. Once everyone is in the right
spots we will be a force to reckon with in MDJUCO.
Our next game is at Delaware Tech where we will
play the always tough Roadrunners. This game will be our way to show the
critics we are actually a good ball team and that we have come together in this
non-conference battle. By the next time I write, I predict we will have some
wins under our belts.
