FRITZ ADVANCES IN NATIONAL GOLF TOURNAMENT Thursday, May 27 - Billy Fritz shot a 73 in the second day of the National Golf Tournament in Phoenix, Arizona to move into a tie for 21st place. Fritz's total score for the first two days is 148, which puts him nine strokes behind the leader, Josh Oiler from Hinds Community College. Fritz had been tied for 37th place after the first day of play. JJ Jordan shot a 76, for a two day total of 154. He jumped from 70th place to a tie for 54th place after the first two rounds. The third CSM golfer competing in the tournament didn't fare as well, as Jason Masri shot a 85, (160), and fell to a tie for 95th place. There are two more rounds left to be played, and the National Champion will be crowned after play on Friday. |
