GOLF TEAM WINS OPENING MATCH
April 2, 2008 -
The CSM golf team won their opening match
with a forfeit win over Garrett Community College, as the Lakers were unable
to field a full team to travel the four plus hours from Garrett County.
Garrett plays at the Wisp Golf Course, next to the ski resort, which will
not open until mid-April.
CSM's Josh Yodichkas was the medalist, with his best round of the year (78).
Garrettt Sterling shot an 83 on the tricky course at Hawthorne Country Club,
that boasts out-of-bounds and hazards on all 18 holes. Andrew Nurmi,
Matt Myers, Gret Ottani, and Mike Shelor round out the rest of the team.
The Hawks travel to Frederick on Thursday, April 3 where they will take on
the Cougars at Glade Valley Golf Course at 12:00 PM.
