Friday, January 17 – Jason Stone, a forward for the College of Southern Maryland Basketball team, has been named the NovaCare Rehabilitation Athlete of the Month for December.  He emerged as a team leader this month and dramatically picked up his level of play.

A Chopticon graduate, Jason is playing in his second season for CSM.  Over the month of December, he averaged 17 points and 12 rebounds per game, including a three-game span averaging 22 points and 15 rebounds per game.  His 29-point, 21 rebound performance against Dundalk Community College on December 16th was the team’s only 20-20 game of the season.  He currently is among the team leaders in scoring, field goal percentage and rebounds and ranks in the top 10 of the Maryland JUCO Conference in field goal percentage and rebounds.
