MARKO HAMLIN NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CSM's Marko Hamlin was named NJCAA Division
II player of the week. The 6' 6" forward led the Hawks to a 1-1 record
last week in the CSM Christmas Tournament, with a 93-92 win over Maryland
Bible, and a 73-70 loss to Division I Georgia Perimeter (ranked in others
receiving votes). Against Maryland Bible, Hamlin was in foul trouble
and scored only two points in the first half, but in the second half he had
16 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 blocks. Against Division I
Georgia Perimeter Hamlin repeated his earlier game, scoring all 18 of his
points in the second half. He finished the game with 18 points, 12
rebounds, 3 steals and 5 blocks. On the week he was 13 of 14 from the
floor (2 of 3 from three point range) and 8 of 10 from the charity stripe.
