DALE BECRAFT SELECTED AS CSM MEN'S BASKETBALL COACH

February 27, 2007 - Dale Becraft has been selected as Head Men's Basketball Coach at the College of Southern Maryland.  It will be a homecoming for Coach Becraft as he served as Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at CSM during the 2003-04 season. 

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to return home to Southern Maryland and to reestablish personal and professional relationships" said Becraft on learning of his selection.

"I look forward to building a respectable program utilizing players from the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference as a nucleus."

Before coaching at CSM, Becraft was the Head Basketball coach at Southern Maryland Christian Academy in White Plains, Md. from 1999-2003. 

After serving as Assistant Coach at CSM, Becraft became the Head Coach at Chesapeake College for two years (2004-06), where he compiled a 32-18 record.  He was Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Washington College in Chestertown, Md. this past season.
